Should the joint allow it, we can propose our orbital welding solutions either with closed or open chamber. This welding technique uses an automated version of TIG welding, i.e. the electrode from which the electric arc forms is automatically handled in order to gradually reach performing speed and heat input; moreover, the gas shield on the melting area of the workpiece is highly concentrated. This allows to obtain joints that are even, with minimum amount of excess weld, and a reduced risk of pollution. The process is repeatable and reliable. It is possible to weld with or without using filler material. Like manual TIG welding, this technique is subject to the conditions of the environment where it is used and the cleanliness of the workpieces before the process.
